Setting your logbook preferences (macOS)
Preferences including your personal information, subscription settings, and defaults can be set in General Prefences. You can also set up Time preferences and Import preferences.
To set your preferences for Pilot Logbook choose Pilot Logbook > Settings…
Set general preferences
- Add and modify your personal information.
- You can change your first and last name which alters how your name is displayed throughout your logbook.
- Modify your licence number and your saved signature which is printed on some PDF logbooks and reports.
- View your subscription status or subscribe to Unlimited.
- The free version of Pilot Logbook only allows you to log and export 50 flights. Subscribe, or restore your purchases, to log more than 50.
- Add defaults.
- Add or change your default aircraft type. This type is preferenced when adding new aircraft manually or when imported from CSV if no other aircraft type data is available.
- Select whether you want Pilot Logbook to reference airports by their ICAO or IATA code. This choice will reflected throughout all logbook tables and menus.
This is a separate setting to how airports are referenced in a CSV import file, and need not be the same. - Select how you would like PIC, PICUS, Co-Pilot and Dual to be titled in all logbook tables and menus.
